Snarky and GK: are the rumors true?!
I'm at Snarky's bachelor pad, sipping champagne (he just got an offer on an amazing new project) and realized: several of you may (now that I think of it, for good reason) think we're dating. Nope: cute as he is, we're just good friends. Sorry, Mom. :)

And dating within the industry? As cute as some of the edit-staffers are--and believe you me, some are!--it's unwise at best. Can you imagine? "Hi, Mr. Editor, we went out for margaritas back in 2007. Umm...buy this book?"

I missed the rumors (were they on another blog somewhere?) though I thought GK and Snarky's itemhood was certainly a possibility.

Ha. Yes. True. I imagine old adage, "The odds are good but the goods are odd" is true in computer programming--and the opposite in publishing: "The odds are terrible but the guys are awesome."
