On Following GK

You know that moment in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (yes, the musical--GK spent many years as a musical theatre geek), one of the young women says something like, "Can't find the picnic? Follow me"--and one of the brothers, newly polite, replies, "To the ends of the earth"?

I loved that moment.

(Incidentally, I think all of those brothers would be Team Gale).

Well. Want to follow GK?

For anonymity's sake, I'm not going to load the Followers gadget. But you can click on the silver bar up at the top--on the left, there's a Follow link.

Yes siree.

Definitely follow, people! Do something right for once (haha!)

I respect vegetarians, even though I don't understand them. They're people too, afterall. Very confused and wonderful people.

Now, now. :) There are lovely vegetarians in the world. It just happened to be easy for me, because I never liked the taste of meat.

No, I lurve vegetarians (Not love. Lurve. It's better, trust me.)Most of my friends are vegetarians, because musicians like their vegetables. And yeah, there's no point in eating something you don't even like (which is why I avoid olives).

True fact: I almost wrote "olives" in the word verification space. And now I've reached my redundancy quota for the day.

I love Seven Brides for Seven Brothers--favorite 50s musical, hands down :) Ooh, or maybe the Pajama Game is my favorite...shoot.

Regardless...love that picnic scene. And barn raising never looked so fun...

*High fives Caitlin*

Yeah! I actually came to New York thinking I wanted to sing and dance in Broadway musicals. We see how that went. :)

Rowenna,
I know! That barn-raising scene was amazing!

I have, in fact, been to a barn-raising--and it was fun!--but there was much less singing and dancing involved.

Already following, GK. :)

Love musicals, too! I always wanted to be in a show...too shy back then.

We just did a sing-along Wizard of Oz last weekend. Fun stuff. ;)

Ruth to Caleb--that line always made my heart stop for a second. Love that musical!

Can't locate the "follow" button though. =(

Does it help to know that I check this blog faithfully every day?

Dude,

I am more than following. I stalking, remember!

Musicals, ahh. Too Bad Cop Rock never took off. Agent Rock has a nice ring to it.

You should totes come up with a GK trivia app with questions like:

What kind of bow is GK good with? (crossbow)
What "way" did GK want to take by storm? (Broadway)
Has GK ever been to a barn-raising? (yes)
Does GK eat calamari? (Ew!)
Pies or pie charts? (Both!)

Empress, vegetarians rule!

:)

Can't find it either. And this is a blog I read with absolute joy. (Is it maybe because I'm in a different grid, being from Brazil?)

PS: Even considering myself more of a rock'n'roll kind of guy, I definitely participated in musicals when I was a teen (broad vocal range). -- little embarassing moment for the rocker in me.

PS2: I'm a little late, but loved the tip you gave about contracts and fineprint. Because, although I'm a lawyer, I can say that, when we're dealing with something so personal and close to our hearts--as dreams coming true--we tend to overlook important details that, as a professional, we would never do.

Already a follower through my own blogger account. I continue to be amazed by the little things you mention that we have in common. It's like one of those bizarre friends-you-haven't-met-yet scenarios. :)
